I recently received Face It Aura Color Control Cream SPF30/PA++ as a gift from Tin. I have been eyeing out this cc cream from The Face Shop for awhile now. It retails for about $40 CDN. Since it was a boxing day sale season she got it for a discounted price of about 50% off. What a steal! Yay! It comes in three shades: 01 light beige, 02 natural, 03 medium beige. I am reviewing the 03 medium beige shade.

Before I start, I would like to say that my skin is not perfect. My skin complexion varies on the season. It can get really dry during harsh winter climates and very oily during the summer. I have tried this during winter, at both times when my skin reached its peak of dryness and oiliness.

What it claims to do:
- It creates a radiant and brighter skin tone.
- It has a darkening-proof formula that last 12 hr long
- It has a silver vine complex which creates a skin brightening effect
Directions:
- Pump 1-2 times to release the formula.
- After skincare, apply evenly onto the face in a light tapping motion using the enclosed CC puff.
- Do the same for touch-ups.

I used one pump of the CC Cream here. As you can see it does not cover my troubled areas that well. However, it minimized the appearance of my acne scars with just one pump. |

After the second pump of CC Cream, you can tell that it covered most of the acne. Most of the time I leave it as is without putting on concealer. |

I layered it up with another pump of the CC Cream here. It covered up all my blemishes and discolorations. I don't need to cover it up with a concealer at all. |

I can say that it is true to what it claims to do. It did brighten up my dark areas and my prone areas, which evens out my skin tone. If you notice, it did brighten up my dark circles under my eyes. It lasted me for about 12 hours. I would say that a really good moisturizer is needed before applying this product if you have dry skin to prevent dry patches.

- It feels very light on the skin
- There is a separator between the actual product and the puff. This is good because it does not allow the puff to be directly on top of the whole product area which is very hygienic
- There is a pump that controls the amount of product you want
- It is easily blendable. Depending on how much troubled areas you have it uses around 1-2 pumps to cover the entire face
- Long lasting
- It mattifies your skin so its best for oily skin individuals
- It's compact and easy to carry around at any time of the day
- It evens out the skin tone
- Knowing that my blush lasted me for most of the day shows that the cc cream is able to hold my blush
- The cc cream product is refillable which would cost cheaper compared to buying a whole package
CONS:
- The puff absorbs bacteria (a solution to this is I wash out the sponge applicator. you could also buy a new one at The Face Shop which would cost you your pockets)
- Base price is costly
- It is not intended for full coverage
- There is only a limited selections of shades. So it's very unfortunate for those who have a darker skin complexion
- It can show flakiness on dry areas
